How does FCA PROXI Tool handle SGW?
SGW is an access control layer on 2018+ vehicles. FCA PROXI Tool detects the gateway status and warns you before a write if access is blocked - it does not remove or get around it, and it can read, edit and write supported configuration directly over ELM327 or J2534. The official authorization path is AutoAuth.
Can I write only to selected ECUs instead of doing full PROXI alignment?
Yes. Write only to the ECU(s) that need the change. FCA PROXI Tool preserves the original Configuration Code, recalculates CRC/checksums and writes a synchronized result, so no full or separate alignment routine is required.
Why do writes fail even when my file looks correct?
Most common reasons are: SGW/session authorization, unstable power, adapter/bus mismatch, or a corrupted/incorrect source buffer. Fix access and connection issues first, then re-check checksums.
Will I see cluster mismatch warnings after edits?
A mismatch state reflects configuration identity or consistency. FCA PROXI Tool preserves the original Configuration Code and writes checksum-correct data to the required ECUs, so its targeted write remains synchronized and requires no separate alignment routine.
