Does FCA PROXI Tool bypass SGW?
No. SGW is an access control layer. FCA PROXI Tool focuses on configuration editing and generating checksum-correct output. For write operations, you still need a supported/authorized diagnostic session for that vehicle.
Can I write only to selected ECUs instead of doing full PROXI alignment?
Often yes. If your change targets a specific module, you can write only where needed. Keeping the original Configuration Code and producing checksum-correct data helps the vehicle accept the update without requiring a full alignment routine.
Why do writes fail even when my file looks correct?
Most common reasons are: SGW/session authorization, unstable power, adapter/bus mismatch, or a corrupted/incorrect source buffer. Fix access and connection issues first, then re-check checksums.
Will I see cluster mismatch warnings after edits?
A mismatch state is typically related to configuration identity/consistency. When you keep the original Configuration Code and the vehicle accepts the checksum-correct data, a mismatch warning is less likely. Actual behavior still depends on the exact change and modules involved.
